23 inch Shoulder Saver™ Gigantic Hanger
This is without doubt the largest, strongest hanger we've ever seen and it is almost certainly the strongest plastic hanger on the planet! Compared to "standard" hangers - actually there is no comparison! Not only is this hanger extra, extra wide* (23") it is also extra thick (5") to hold garment shoulders open and allow air circulation. This makes it perfect for protecting the garment's natural shape and drying heavy winter coats, fur coats, wet suits, jump suits - pretty much anything that will fit on a hanger. No wonder that some people have called this hanger, "Hangerzilla™".
Fabricated from 1/8 thick high impact structural plastic, the Shoulder Saver™ also has an extra strong stainless steel swivel hook. The result is a gigantic hanger that can can actually support up to 100 pounds!
Features of this extra wide, high capacity contoured plastic hanger include:
While obviously not the hanger for routine clothing use, for those special, extra heavy winter coats, leather jackets, fur coats, wet suits, etc. here's a hanger that's ready, willing and able to safely hold them up in your closet.
*Important Note: When upgrading to extra wide hangers be sure you have adequate closet clearance between the clothes rail and the back wall of your closet. Probably not an issue for newer homes but it can be a problem with some older homes and some armoires. A good rule of thumb is that the distance from the center of the hanging rod to the back of the closet should be at least half the width of the widest hanger you intend to use plus at least one additional inch for garment clearance. For example, if using these 23" hangers the distance from the back wall of the closet to the center of the clothes rod would need to be at least 23"/2+1" = 11.5" + 1 = 12.5".
