Important Note:  The seat belts which require Model C and Model D extenders can be easily confused with each other.  From the front, the buckles look virtually identical; it is the back of the buckles and the belt clasps which are distinctly different:

The back side of the Model C buckle has three holes and is etched or stamped with one or more of the following identifying marks:   "Am-Safe", "American Safety", "5000B1", "5000B2", "5000B3", "Pat. No. 2.846.745".

The back side of the Model D buckle has a single slit and is smooth metal with no identifying marks stamped or etched into it.
